“Jinrikisha” is a small, two-wheeled, cart-like passenger vehicle with a retractable roof,pulled by one or more person. It was widely used in Japan as means of transportation, until early 20th century when horse coaches, trains, and automobiles became popular. 人力車は、人が引くことにより、お客様を乗せて運ぶ、折り畳みフードのついた車です。日本では、馬車、鉄道や自動車が普及する20世紀初頭まで広く使われていました。

Nowadays, “Jinrikisha” is no longer used as pure means of transportation. Even now in Japan, Jinrikisha is an invaluable. 今日では単なる移動手段としての人力車はもう存在しません。今の日本でも人力車は貴重な乗り物です。
